Zhauna Franks, an award-winning colorist with over 25 years of experience, began her career in Minneapolis' top salons before moving to New York in 2003 to open Salon 2b with her husband, Daniel.

Zhauna is celebrated for her precision, artistry, and talent for correcting color mishaps while maintaining hair health. As a dimensional color expert, she creates effortlessly natural looks, complemented by custom cuts and styling. Certifications include:  Extensions: Bellami and Combline. Color: L'Oréal  and “Masters of Balayage”.

With a background in dance, choreography, and directing, Zhauna combines creative vision with practical expertise. Her warm, down-to-earth approach puts even the most nervous clients instantly at ease.

With over 35 years in the industry, Daniel's journey began at just 13, training under his uncle, the legendary Horst Rechelbacher. His passion and skill quickly elevated him from salon stylist to international platform artist, global educator, and Director of the original Aveda Institute in Minneapolis.

In 2003, Daniel and his wife, Zhauna, brought their vision to life by opening Studio 2b, a salon and art gallery in NYC. For over a decade, it thrived as a creative hub, earning awards for their exceptional service as well as a devoted clientele.  While they relocated back to Minneapolis in 2016 to be closer to family, they continue to work regularly in NYC to serve their loyal clients from all over the country.
